Exploring human connection...

... is the lovely subtitle to the 'Fifty People One Question' website created by Benjamin Reece and Nathan Heleine. My good mate Laura from Glow sent me the link.  Lozza is a constant source of bright ideas and insight and is, I think, trying to persuade me that video is the way forward....  

Well, maybe...  

Though Frank Warren's film, 'Post Secret' which currently features on 'Fifty People' is a great inspiration.

Meanwhile - hanging in there for the stills photographers, Lynda, suggested a look at the 500 Photographers project by Pieter Wisse.  

500 photographers posts 5 photographers every week and after 100 weeks it will be complete.  Like Pieter says, the photographers have to be worth looking at and have a certain level of quality.

The site not only shows pictures but also provides videos which give insight into how the pictures are made.

Here, Magnum photographer Jonas Bendiksen describes his work and how he likes to travel with minimal kit. A man after my own heart.

Oh, and he does mention how video and still images might be combined to 'help contextualise and free up the photography...'
